Hey after I blasted the team last night some people might think I don't like the team. That is far from the truth. I love the team. And one of the reason relates to the pics I posted with this. The team got back into town around 11:45 this morning and a bunch of them made an appearance at the North Central Family Centre at around 2:00. They could have bailed on the appearance and nobody would have blamed them. But they were out signing autographs and talking to the kids and making their day. The players that were there are Reggie Hunt, Mike Mccullough, Jeremy O'Day, Kerry Joseph, T.J. Stancil, Corey Grant, Mike Mahoney(looking like a guy off the street, nobody figured out he was a player), Scott Schultz, and Dustin C #22. No way I get Dustin's last name right so I'm not going to try. I hope I didn't forget anybody. The people in the pics are Corey Grant, Reggie Hunt, My Mom, Mike Mahoney, And T.J. Stancil. The other pic is of my neice Lisa and Reggie Hunt. It was a good time and the players were great with everybody. It's the little things like getting out in the community after a loss that make these guys so easy to like and admire. Great job guys.

Helps us keep our perspective hey? This is what makes it so hard when our team loses like this. These are really great guys and easy to like. We'll keep giving them hell when they lose but we still love them.
RG - Do you live in the 'hood?
I grew up about two blocks from the Family Centre. Used to be the 5th Avenue Tea Room when I was a kid.
Glad to see people are trying to make a difference in that neighborhood. Some people have had some bad breaks and need the help.
Well I live on the edge of the "hood" now, 1500 block Elphinstone. I did my ten years living at 1060 Cameron though. That's Cameron and Fifth Avenue for those who don't know the neighbourhood. A lot of kids that my son goes to school with use the Center quite often.
Isn't that something. I grew up on 10 block Garnet. Left there about 20 years ago. Used to sit on the front step on Sunday afternoons and watch all the people wander by on their way to the Rider game. Hung out quite a bit at the Mac's store and gas station close to your place.
Good job covering this Ricky. The North Central Family Centre is an important place for the community. I am a member of the SaskTel Pioneers and know the place well through volunteer activities. Its good to see that some of the guys can make it out, and hopefully make a change in the life of the kids.
